1 Ton Flake Ice Machine with Bitzer Compressor and 1000 kg Ice Storage Room – Kenya
I. Project Overview
This project involved the installation of a 1 ton per day flake ice machine equipped with a Bitzer semi-hermetic compressor, together with a 1000 kg insulated ice storage room for a customer in Kenya. The system was designed to provide a continuous supply of high-quality flake ice while reducing ice melting losses through insulated storage. Considering Kenya's warm climate, the customer required a reliable refrigeration solution capable of stable operation under relatively high ambient temperatures.

II. Project Requirements
The customer's main objectives included:
(1) Daily production capacity of approximately 1 ton of flake ice
(2) 1000 kg insulated ice storage for flexible ice supply
(3) Reliable refrigeration components for long-term operation
(4) Easy maintenance and stable performance
(5) Energy-efficient operation with automatic control
Based on these requirements, a complete flake ice production and storage solution was developed.
III. System Configuration
The project included a 1 TPD flake ice machine, a Bitzer semi-hermetic reciprocating compressor, an air-cooled condensing unit, a 1000 kg insulated ice storage room, and an integrated electrical control system.
During operation, refrigerant continuously removes heat from the evaporator surface, allowing a thin layer of ice to form. The rotating ice blade automatically scrapes the ice into small flakes, which are then transferred directly into the insulated storage room. The fully automatic process ensures continuous production with minimal manual intervention while maintaining consistent ice quality.
